Info:
Formed in the spring of 1999, Bump founded its humble beginnings as a three piece acoustic band entertaining audiences in the smoke filled rooms of downtown St. John's. Though this is one union no one would have predicted.

Rob Cook (guitar and vocals) in his few short years had already signed a record deal with PolyGram, had a top ten hit in Canada and toured the country over. Steve Browne; aka "Dukes" (guitar and vocals) had been spending a fair amount of time building a reputation as a solo artist and an accomplished guitar player. Steve Randell (bass and vocals) had pounded the club scene near to death, garnering a reputation as someone who loved to perform. Greg Burt (drums and vocals) had already established himself as one of the most demanded session players on the East Coast, building a resume as long as George Street itself.

Through the magic of coincidence, all came looking for a change of pace at nearly the exact same time. Rob took a break from touring and reverted back to some solo work. Dukes and Rob crossed paths in the "acoustic pub scene" and they found Steve in a local music store selling them some of the same instruments they are using today. The band was recently quoted "from the first song of the first rehearsal, everything seemed effortless".

Several years and a few growing pains later, the band now finds itself a mainstream rock and roll act with a reputation for great musicianship, memorable songs and a live performance you would not want to miss.

Now with their debut album in hand, and never ones to try and predict "what is next", Bump is poised for whatever the next evolution brings.
